New York Comic Con Recap

Hey Guys, so we’re back from New York… actually we got back last week but I just haven’t gotten around to doing my update. Overall it was a successful show for us. One amazing thing was that we got picked up by a store in Sao Paulo, Brasil. So cool. And I got interviewed by a New York based broadcasting company. It felt as though people knew us already even though it was our first time exhibiting in NYC. Something we noticed that may surprise some people, is that New Yorkers are really polite and friendly people. I was impressed by how nice the people are in general, they are some of the nicest people I’ve met considering it’s such a big city. So I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came by our booth. It was great meeting you all. Here’s some pictures I want to share from New York Comic Con 2011.

LIGHTS releases her new album Siberia

Our favorite It-Girl of the moment (and fellow Canadian) Artist LIGHTS has just released a new Album “Siberia”. You may have seen her wearing our white panda hoodie. We’re lucky we’ve had the chance to meet her twice now at Fan Expo. We think she’s fantastic because she produces great music (my favorites are “Drive My Soul” and “Saviour”), has a great sense of style and she’s really nice in person. She’s currently on tour if you want to check her out. Here’s her tour schedule: http://music.iamlights.com/tour/

Here she is talking about the release of her 2nd record Siberia. In her message she talks about the album artwork and inserts which shows a panda watching Steven Seagal action movies, which is pretty rad

Here’s the video for her latest single “Toes”

New York Comic Con this weekend

Hey Everyone. I’m writing this update from my hotel room in NYC. We just spent a day traveling and now we’ve finally landed in the Big Apple. We’re here for New York Comic Con. This trip has special meaning for me and not just because of the convention. I lived here 10 years ago, while working as a Technical Designer for Dollhouse. I left just before 9/11 and have not been back since then. And this time I’m here with my OWN business, exhibiting at the nation’s 2nd largest convention!!! How cool is that!

This is the biggest pop culture convention on the East Coast! Our booth is located in the anime section in the Exhibit Hall, booth# 364.

About NYCC:
New York Comic Con is the East Coast’s biggest and most exciting popular culture convention. Our show floor plays host to the latest and greatest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. Our panels and autograph sessions give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators. Our screening rooms feature sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either big or small screens. And with dedicated professional hours, New York Comic Con is a market place, bringing together the major players in the entertainment industry. New York Comic Con is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world — Gotham City.

Punch Brand website relaunch

Oh boy, there’s a lot of updates to share with you all. First and foremost I’m sure you’ve noticed we have a brand new website design. We’ve spent months designing, coding, uploading, tweaking etc etc… And now it’s finally live! I am extremely happy with the site. There’s many new features like the ability to “like” and write Facebook comments directly on the product page. We also have amazing new product shots as well as the pictures from our Lookbook photoshoot. But the best feature is the cool new brands we’re now carrying in addition to our crazyheads line.

And now the great news! To celebrate the launch of the new website, we are having a hoodie sale. Yes that includes our popular White Panda Fleece Hoodie. We are also offering $5 flat rate ground shipping on all Canada and US orders. So now’s the perfect time to buy that hoodie, hat or cute t-shirt you’ve wanted. Leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you.
