Sakura-Con Seattle
(May 2, 2007)

Our first time at Sakura-Con was amazing! Here are some pics that we wanted to share with you. The cosplay was amazing- it was great to see everyone on the streets strutting their stuff! (geez, can I say amazing any more times? I amaze myself sometimes on how amazing my vocabulary is...anyways...check out Spiderman! With Bunny Ears!)

Toronto Animecon 2006
(December 3, 2006)

December in Toronto is awsome because of this convention. It's a small, more intimate 1 day show, where packs of people are crowded together to create one big glomp heaven! And people seemed more generous this time of year- they offered me pocky, hugs, and even asked for pictures. Must have been the Panda hat I wore...heh heh...

December, already?!?
(December 1, 2006)

You've GOT to be kidding me - it's already December? That can't be right because I have yet to do my shopping...Well, except a few gifts I bought for my friends on-line...I find it much less of a hassle, and easier to get the unique stuff you can't find at a department store. Seriously, I once spent 20 minutes just looking for a parking space at a mall- and this was in October! Its nuts.... but I'm rambling...

This month we are having a very special bunny hat sale to help get your online shopping groove on. Why Bunny hats? You know - holidays. Bunnies. Together. Nothing cuter! Or maybe it was because I just saw some cute bunnies on the O.C.? You'll neever know...

Just a reminder that we will be in Toronto this Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY, for the Toronto Animecon. Entry is FREE! Drop on by and say hi if you are in town.

New Reboot poster!
(November 27, 2006)

I just wanted to mention that there is a brand new Reboot poster by Beach studios in Canada. That was a wicked CGI cartoon and I can't believe it was on the air over 10 years ago! That pre-date's Naruto, people! Get them here! I already ordered mine. Finally, something to replace my Alf poster...

AC Cubed 2006
(November 18-19, 2006)

It was a super return to Ottawa where the anime fans were hopping and bopping around just like I remembered, well, with different costumes...and they were shopping more then they were bopping...I don't even know what bopping means...

Let's move on...

The artist alley was bigger and better this year! I met Jim and Alison from Dooomcat again. They are a talented bunch. You have to see their art and super digital colours. I bought all their Vice Bears stickers and plan to stick them everywhere I go. I also met another talented artist - her name is Bonnie and she has got some serious skills on the PSP as well as her art.

I was told that 1300 people came to this show to the nation's capital. It was a fun all anime con with way more time to chat than other shows. If you are even remotely near Ottawa during AC Cubed,, I really recommend attending. It's a great weekend of cosplay and pocky munching...The only thing I regret is not being able to see the first two episodes of the Deathnote anime. I was told it was Sick! (haha, who uses that term anymore? lame-o...) Anyways, I'm glad to see this Sick show become a Supa-fly one and hope next year it gets more dope.

Word to your mother. Peace.

Fan Expo 2006
(September 1-3, 2006 - Toronto, ON)

Being the biggest Comic/Anime/Scifi convention in Canada, it was great seeing familiar faces again. This year was a blast! I can't believe all the talent in Artist Alley. It there something in the water in Toronto? I mean, seriously- there is a lot of talented artists at this show. Visit hobbystar.com for the full list.

If you are thinking of visiting Toronto, this is the show to go to. It's really an experience - from catching up on your latest manga titles, getting pictures taken by voice actors, or even seeing sci-fi celebrities. One of my favourite reasons for going to this show is eating at Don Juan's - the lover of food. He runs a fries truck on Front Street and serves the ultimate burger and fries. It's really the best, and it makes going to the show even sweeter. mmm...fries...

Otakon 2006
(August 4-6, 2006 - Baltimore, MD)

This was our first show at Otakon. Baltimore is a beautiful city with a beautiful harbour area. I wish we had more time to explore the city during the day, but we were very occupied at this show. It was amazing to watch the cosplayers at the front of the atrium and taking pictures of their amazing costumes. Being from Canada, we noticed that cosplay fans are the same as in the U.S.- friendly, talkative, and very excited about their ANIME and MANGA! Overall, it was a great show and we will definitely be back again next year.

4 days of crazy fun!
Anime Expo!
(July 1-4, 2006 - Anaheim, CA)

Posted July 16, 2006:
We're baaaack!
It was a great show- Thanks to everyone who made our first trip to SoCal so great! It was a rough start with a 2 hour flight delay, but at least they didn't run out of airplane food...uh, yeah....

Anime Expo is the largest Anime convention in North America - with over 45,000 people attending, we were blown away by the enthusiasm and energy of the fans. The best part was after the show, just sitting back and watching the people outside under the California sun, with palm trees everywhere. Ahh, I can get used to palm trees...

We made many new friends - fans, retailers, and event staff. It was a great show. Here are pictures of some new Crazyheads fans. See you all next year, California!

Anime Supercon 2006
(March 11-12, 2006 - Toronto, ON)

Scott McNeil is a CrazyheadAhhhh- Spring is in there air! How else can you explain all the bunnies hopping about. What the- is that Scott McNeil wearing our bunny hat? Yes Scott, the look is sooo you! Yes Scott, it IS mating season...heh heh....

Rojay's got you covered! We met some awesome people at this show- the most memorable being Rojay - who is the best salesman ever. His fashion sense is second to none. He knows the hidden animal in you. Seriously, 9 out of 10 times, he was right in recommending the right hat to passerby's. They didn't know it, but they were touched by greatness.
